iPhone 5 mic not working, help!

I recently got an iphone 5 and the mic works fine whenever I speak on the phone, or even when using Siri. however, the mic has stopped working whenever I videotape something. How do I fix this problem? This never used to happen, it just starting happening recently. Please help me, thanks!!
