Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
iTunes 11.0.2 needs Mac OS X 10.6.8 or newer, so open > About this Mac, and tell us what OS X version you have. If it's 10.6, open > Software Update, and install all available updates. Then, after updating to 10.6.8, open > Software Update and install iTunes 11.0.2.
If you are using OS X 10.5 or 10.4, you have to upgrade to Snow Leopard > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard Make a backup before upgrading. After making the backup, insert the disc and upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. Then, open > Software Update and install all the updates

Hi thanks for helping..
I did what you suggested:
my OS X version is 10.6.2
so i went to ‘software update’ and i did ‘install’ all the updates.. and restarted the comp. as it suggested, but nothing happened, it still says that the version is 10.6.2.
I tried installing in the same way a few times, but it is still not updating anything.
Download and install 10.6.8 from the Support website > http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 Then, open > Software Update
