extend wifi network with Belkin not working

I have installed a Belkin Range Extender in my home to boost a FIOS router. This has created a new wifi network (aaaaa_xt). All my devices (1 PC, 2 iPhones, one iPad) were able to connect to the new wifi but my macbook pro refuses. In System Preferences/Network I am able to pick the new wifi network. The light is green, it says "connected" and I have this message enderthe green light on, this message under status: "Wi-Fi is connected to 4QAK7_xt and has the IP address 192.168.1.10.". But I my browser cannot connect to internet. If I use an ethernet cable, then I can connect. Please help. Thx

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1)
