Bloated Battery - Late 2008 Macbook Pro

Hi People,

Im using a Late 2008 Macbook Pro.

its about 3.5 yrs old and i recently realised

that closure of the back cover for battery didnt not fit properly.

i removed the battery and check then realised my battery is a little bloated.

and that causes the cover closure to be slightly off.

Charging, standby hours, usage hours are all fine.

Am not too sure what caused it to bloat and not too sure if

the battery should be replaced...

Is it neccessary to replace a new one?

=(

as Ogelthorpe suggested....replace it.

if you leave it the way it is and it keeps on expanding or getting bloated - your trackpad will stop working - $120 fix for that one - battery my hit your RAM modules and push it in more - $60 minimum to replace that one.

so buying a new battery to replace it is a much cheaper fix than damaging a perfectly working Macbook Pro.

don't you agree?
