Using PCI card in MacPro
Hi
I have a 2010 MacPro. I was thinking of installing my old Terratec PCI sound card in the MacPro to use for music editing etc on my Windows XP boot.
Will this work on the MacPro as it uses PCI-X slots?
Thanks

Misguided, only PCIe is found and used in Mac Pro.
Thanks, so same question as above but reference to Pci express not PCI-X
Mac Pro directly supports PCIe cards only, nothing else.
card cages and extenders to get a PCI-X or PCI slot on you Mac Pro are prohibitively expensive just for an outdated sound card -- and there may be no appropriate drivers once you get it in a slot.
