Can't click on "Enable Disk Use" in itunes

Can't click on "Enable Disk Use" in itunes

When I go to the itunes options and click on edit, then preferences, ipod, & music, the Enable Disk Use is not in bold print, but it is checked. I don't know what has happened, and I'm not able to use it.

Can someone help me with this?

In reference to my post earlier, I could sure use some help being able to enable disk use on my ipod. Could someone please help me?

Under normal circumstances if you have your update preferences set to "manually manage songs and playlists" the "enable disk use" box is greyed out, checked and enabled by default. Have you got your iPod set to manual update?

Yes, I have it set to "Manually manage songs and playlists".
