    Yes, but it is not the best application to do that.

     

    Start wth Photoshop to resize the images to something closer to the resolution of the video frame (i.e. 1920x1080) Having more pixels than what the frame will display does not improve quality of video. Having said this, it should also be noted if you are going to do push/pulls/pans on the images, you will need to leave enough extra pixels to accomodate the largest final size of the image (you are zooming in/out 2x means you'll need to start with an image 3840x2160)

     

    2. Once the images are at the appropriate size, use Motion or AfterEffects to put together the images and any motioin on images and export as ProRes video clips.

     

    3. Export the finished sequences to Final Cut to edit the images to music/ voice/ audio effects.

     

    4. Be happy.
