How do I get rid of deleted app update notifications?
Specifically the Evernote app.

You can right click on the app in the app store and select hide, or take a look at this link, http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/65525/how-do-i-stop-macappstore-from-sh owing-updates-for-deleted-apps#comment77037_65525
Thanks for the quick response Eric but that only works for Apple Apps and not third-party ones like Evernote. I've also tried removing my external HD, putting the application folder under private in the Spotlight settings and restarting my computer but this app is a persistant one. I've made multiple system searches to make sure everything connecting my computer to evernote is gone but the MacStore keeps telling me about the recent update even after I download it (and remove it) again. I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd ask this question just incase someone actually knew how to fix this.
Hello leonatus,
I had to get rid of Evernote, and like you found some difficulty in doing so. But if you use Easy Find (free download from App Store) that should trace all the bits and pieces which hide in your system. Find any File is excellent too. Then use App Cleaner or the like to delete.
Yea I have easy find as well as AppDelete. I often couple that with a search in Finder with system fies and invisible files included but neither solution works. I am curious as to whether or not the app store continues to notify you about updates for evernote.
If you bought it from the App Store, yes it will for as long as App Store thinks you still have it. And if your deletion process is incomplete, that is, there are fragments remaining in your system, App store will continue to think you require an update.
I managed to rid myself of mine using the process I mentioned. Do you have Find any File, it is an excellent help resource, too?
no but im getting it right now
found nothing containing evernote or evernote - invisible files included.
The difference may be in the OS. Mine is 10.6.8 and yours is Mountain Lion. I am not conversant with the variations between the two.
maybe
