How do I get rid of deleted app update notifications?

Specifically the Evernote app.

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)

Thanks for the quick response Eric but that only works for Apple Apps and not third-party ones like Evernote. I've also tried removing my external HD, putting the application folder under private in the Spotlight settings and restarting my computer but this app is a persistant one. I've made multiple system searches to make sure everything connecting my computer to evernote is gone but the MacStore keeps telling me about the recent update even after I download it (and remove it) again. I know this is a long shot but I thought I'd ask this question just incase someone actually knew how to fix this.

If you bought it from the App Store, yes it will for as long as App Store thinks you still have it. And if your deletion process is incomplete, that is, there are fragments remaining in your system, App store will continue to think you require an update.

I managed to rid myself of mine using the process I mentioned. Do you have Find any File, it is an excellent help resource, too?
