World of Warcraft on a MacBook Air 2012

I recently downloaded WoW on my macbook air 2012 and I didnt have the graphics on high quality settings and my computer overheated within 5 minutes of opening wow. Is there any way that i can run wow on my macbook air without this problem or are macbook airs just not meant to handle games likes wow?

Any advice on this would greatly help.

thanks

While Macbook Air can handle certain games - graphic intensive games however, will cause it to heat up because of the Processor driving the the built in videos power.

Best thing to do is run it at the mid or lowest setting for your Macbook Air not to heat up so much.

Or you can get a good cooling pad - make sure if you decide to get a cooling pad - air is blowing downward and not upwards since the heat will rise if your cooling pad blows air towards your Macbook Air instead of away from it.
