My ipad does not display air play and mirroring icon therefore I cannot use the mirror option. what can I do. I have Apple TV version 5.2.1 h

First go to System settings and make sure your airplay box is checked in the display area. then if you still do not see the icon Reboot reboot your iPad and then the Icon should appear good luck it worked for me.
