Syncing notes - multiple devices, icloud

Guys we have executives here that use Notes on their IOS devices. One in particular has literally HUNDREDS that he wants to sync from his phone to his new ipad. Simply turning the feature ON in the icloud setup isn't doing the trick between the two devices. The ipad (the new device) isn't showing any of his existing notes.

So what is the easiest way to do this and get the devices to share all of his existing, plus new, notes? Done some googling and having problems figuring this out. Ideally it would be nice if we could solve this problem without having to plug anything in and sync with itunes on a PC.

Suggestions? Thanks

He needs to use the same Apple ID on both devices for iCloud. Then turn on "Notes": Settings>iCloud>Notes>On.

Unfortunately that isn't solving the problem. He has the feature turned on for both devices and is using the same Apple ID. Existing notes on the iphone aren't showing up on the ipad.

Gotcha...unfortunately, you're not gonna like the solution...copy/paste each note to to iCloud, then delete the "On My Phone" note, or email each one to himself, then save to iCloud.

Thanks. I'll pass the info along and let him know that looks like it may be the only way to get those notes imported.

I work in an enterprise environment so the chance for that to happen is somewhere between **** freezing over and monkeys coming out of my rear end. 😉

As it stands notes go under the email address on the device.

So if you make the note under an email other than icloud, it does not sync wirelessly through the cloud.

That being said you could try backing up the iphone to the computer and then restoring the ipad from the iphone backup and seeing if they come over that way
