Hi all,
After recently downloading some fonts off the web, some of them have decided to not group together as a family, or group of typefaces. Is there any way I can fix this? I've tried renaming their file names in Finder but no luck.

Without a font editor to adjust the internal names of the fonts, you can't.
Ah, okay. Would you be able to suggest any editors? Kind of annoying when working on a document to have to manually switch to a different font instead of just being able to type cmd+B for bold, cmd+I for italics, etc.
There's FontLab Studio (not cheap). They also acquired Fontographer a few years ago and also sell that. A couple hundred bucks less than their flagship editor, but still not cheap.
If you have the X11 windowing software installed, there's also the free open source FontForge.

TransType isn't free, but that's another way to do it. You can try it for free for a limited time with limited functionality, but otherwise, it's $97.
