Some one fiddled with my Macbook to work with a projector. In doing so it changed things. For example, SKYPE doesn't work properly.
LAter I will ask about why Macbook does not project propertly on a Toshiba projector.

Apple Menu / System Preferences / Sharing.
In the pane you see, the computer name is displayed, and there is a Edit button. Click that button. Change the name back to what it was so the other devices recognize it.
Sorry - This did not help. I assume my original Macbook is simply Macbook but I still get Macbook (2)
My Macbook says Macbook 2. How do I return to MacBook 1?
