Sep 5, 2015 10:23 AM in response to tim0409by John Scott1,I just tried a reinstall of Yosemite i'll see how that goes. It does appear to be related to certain routers for some reason? But I have multiple devices that don't have any issues with the router so buying a new one is not a option. Also, I don't know the real problem so I may end up buying another router with the same problem.

Sep 5, 2015 11:17 AM in response to John Scott1by tim0409,I've tried a complete reinstallation and I'm afraid it didn't change anything. I've just had a play around with my router settings (selected a specific channel rather than automatic) so will see if it changes anything.

Sep 9, 2015 7:50 AM in response to tim0409by tim0409,Still having problems which means my Mac is a complete pain to use - any ideas as to what I do now? It's warranty expired in July (which was after I started having these problems), and I suspect if I go into the Apple Store they won't be particularly sympathetic. What are the chances that Apple will resolve this in a future update. They have effectively ruined my experience by releasing an update.

Apr 8, 2016 4:40 AM in response to nirmals44by Adman777,HI I tried this but what I think helped me get it working is the range of the DHCP
server started from 192.168.8.100 to 192.168.8.200 !
my laptop connected as .2 or .3 and so wasn't being "DHCP'd "
so changing the DHCP range from .2 to .100 etc fixed me up
hope this helps you - thanks guys
