No Audio Output Device Installed Early 2011 Macbook Pro Windows 8 Boot Camp

As the title says, I have recently installed Windows 8 Pro on my Macbook Pro using boot camp. Everything is running flawlessly except for no audio. In device manager, the high definition audio controller appears with a yellow exclamation point. In properties, it says This device cannot start. (Code 10). I have tried almost everything. I tried installing new Intel Drivers, new Cirrus drivers, new Realtek drivers, updating the EFI, uninstalling boot camp drivers and reinstalling them. Any ideas?

I have a Macbook 8,1 (late 11?) and got w8 working just fine! Every piece of hardward works ok.

I choose w8 32, but bootcamp grabs the latest, which are 64. If that's you case, here is the download for x86 drivers:

<This link is a direct download>

I've used a little freeware app called Brigadier to locate the proper package.

Old info possible but.... may work with Windows 8 or have new drivers (definitely), shame that Boot Camp 5.x package leaves things out still I guess.

Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 11)

I tried downloading the "High Definition Codecs" driver from Cirrus Logic's website but the download link doesn't work.

http://www.cirrus.com/en/support/lic/lic3.html?uri=/en/pubs/software/CS4207WinVi sta_Win7_32-64-bit6-6001-1-30.zip

In macbook pro, you may also see a red light in your audio jack. *Step 1:* Download the Macbook Pro Cirrus Logic CS4206A Driver from our server.

+(As a request, please do not hotlink this file anywhere else or our server will automatically remove the file from server.)+ +In case the above download link does not work google+

CirrusAudio.10.6.1.zip

*Step 2:* Extract the right type of Driver (depending on your windows XP/ 7/ 32 bit/ 64bit)

Step3: for Windows 7 only: Right Click on exe file of driver. Select Properties> Compatibility > run in compatibility mode Select Windows Vista from drop down menu and Click OK

*Step 4:* Double click the driver and install.

Did you install the Bootcamp Windows support software from Apple ?

This will install all the drivers required for Windows 8 to work.

Once you have installed Windows 8, then install the support software. You should have downloaded this during the Bootcamp setup process, if you didn't, open up Bootcamp assistant on the Mac that you have installed Bootcamp on (using aonther Mac may not collect the same required drivers), "select"Download the latest Windows support software from Apple, do not select Install Windows. This will then download the software and installer onto a USB drive (MS-DOS (FAT) formated) which you can then use when you boot up in Windows.

"high definition audio device" relates to the audio link via the display port (which can support video and audio via thunderbolt, hdmi...). it's the graphic card driver which has to be updated, not the audio card driver (cirrus).

What worked for me on a MBP 2012 (Intel HD Graphics 4000, windows 7 64b) was to download and install the latest version of the Intel graphic card driver directly form Intel website. Unfortunately, this driver is not included in bootcamp nor proposed in windows update and has to be installed manually.

3- Have already the latest Bootcamp drivers http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1720?viewlocale=pt_PT Boot Camp 5.1.5621

Any idea how to get the sound drivers up ?

Thanks
