I have 05' G5 Mac (2.7). Trying to connect it via DVI/HDMI adapter to LCD TV (2013). I've tried three different adapters. No luck. DVI ports work with my 20'' ACER LCD Monitor (2008). I'd appreciate any help. 🙂

Yes, there is input choices on the TV for several other HDMI's, VGA, USB & RCA....
I just though that since DVI is a digital signal, it should (using an adapter) be able to covert the signal over to the HDMI.
Would using a DVI to VGA adapter just be easier/possible? If so, what's the down side?

Suppose Amazon Basics HDMI to DVI adapter cable would work as well, however it depends on the TV you try to connect, I think.

Could the TV really make a difference?
I ask this because I've tried three different DVI/HDMI Adapters. The first one was a cheap noname brand bought from Amazon.ca, while the other two were from Best Buy. However, I should mention that one of the adapters stated HDMI to DVI on the package; not sure if this an issue or not.
I did try all three adapters on two seperate TV in the house; RCA & Philps.
I truely cannont understand why I'm having such an issue with this connection.

Whew, our G5s are before HDMI, I don't have any idea if it'll work with such a closed standard, but are there input choices on the Monitor itdelf, like PC, DVR, TV, etc.?
In my case, DVI to HDMI cable(PCi PL-HDDV02) with my PowerMac G5(late 2004) and SHARP full HD TV(LC-22K7) works well.

Supposedly, VGA doesn't give as clear a pic, but not the case here, maybe my poor viosion.
