ipod frozen

My ipod (5th generation) froze up today while playing a song. I've tried the 5R's and also connecting it to my computer. Nothing happens when I plug it in and my computer doesn't recognize it. It's stuck on and with the back light lit up. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the discussions.

I'd suggest resetting more than once if you haven't already:
Resetting the iPod

If you've tried the five R's with no success, your only other option is to allow the battery to run down which should happen fairly quickly because the backlight is on. Post back if you still have trouble with the iPod after you have allowed the battery to run down.
