Force software updates without user interaction?

Right now my users are not admins so they can't install software updates. How can I force the updates on users without having them do anything?

It might be overkill for your needs but Munki has worked very well for me, at least for desktops. I use it to install apps and updates for Microsoft and Adobe, but it has a flag to enable automatic installation of Apple updates as well. Even if you didn't want to use it to keep your applications up to date you could run it with an empty manifest and just let it deal with the apple stuff:
