hello
i have iphoto 11 on my mac book pro. I have a cannon sx50hs which I have been using for a few months. Iphoto import jpegs no trouble but I want to import Raw photo images but iphoto refuses stating photographes not compatable. any suggestions

To access the Raws on that camera you'll need iPhoto 11 or Aperture 3 and Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.01

I have iphoto 11 9.1.5 do you have a link for the others. just seen i have to buy aperture 79$ think again.

No you don't have to buy Aperture. You don't have to buy anything. Just update your iPhoto - the current version is 9.4.3 so you're quite a way behind - and then install the Camera Raw updates.

sorry to be a pain, not sure what you mean by note the search box, i can find lots of updates for various canons but not the sx50hs, do i need to update from 10.7.5 thanks for your help so far.

That seems to have been pulled. In that case you'll need 10.8.3 or later.
during the night i downloaded 10.8.3 just updating everything i will let you know

OK 10.8.3 with a couple of updates worked now can import Raw into iphoto thanks for your help

Ok I can get RAW pictures into Iphoto but I can move the picture into Photoshop elements keep getting the pop up could not complete because of program error

I get so far with trying to set elements as external editor and a pop up appears blue box pse Could not complete your request because of a program error. I have Adobe Elements 9.
