MBPr does not recognize Samson USB microphone.

MBPr does not recognize Samson USB microphone.

I've been using a Samson GoMic USB for several months. Just today the MBPr has stopped responding to it. I can see the mic under <Sound>, I can select it as the input device, but it does not register any sound input. Works fine on two other macs. Build 12D78, osX 10.8.3 Any tips?

Restart your computer and/or do a PRAM zap.

Check your settings in the Audio Midi Setup app which is located inside your Utilities folder.

Baby Boomer - I don't know how, but this did it. All I did was open up the Midi Setup - didn't alter any settings. Closed it and the mic now works. Thanks!
