If you use Windows XP as your computer's OS, look at this document to see if it applies to your situation.

i tryed but nothing happens again is this problem.what do you thing about antivirus becouse when I restore my i pod avira display me a message accsess to file ipod lnk' containing the virus or unwanted program 'worm/ao.d'was blocked

i have turn off the antivirus but anything happens again  i should restore. i dont know what to do.

A Restore erases the iPod, so if their is any malware-related files on it, it will be gone.  But if doing a Restore again just causes iTunes to ask that you do another Restore, that is a problem.

If your computer has a malware-related problem, separate from the iPod problem, you should fix that situation, as it may be affecting how iTunes works.

What is your computer's OS?  If Windows, what version?

  • nniinnaa Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

    i have Winddows XP

i have download the last version of itune...

Since you have Windows XP, did you read the document I previously linked about the iPod's assigned drive letter? What you descibe is one of the possible symptoms of this problem.  It says...

iTunes displays the "iTunes has detected an iPod in recovery mode - Use iTunes to restore" message even after the iPod has been restored.

The document provides instructions for fixing the problem, by specifically assign a drive letter to the iPod.

yes i have follow all instuctions about drive letter.itune displays the"ipod recovery mode.Your ipod software is up to date.Itunes will automatically check for an update again on 5/2/2013 .

    Software version 1.1.3.

My iTunes shows that too, on the iPod's Summary screen.  So, if you are able to see that screen, doesn't that mean you were able to complete a Restore successfully, and the iPod is now connected to iTunes and working normally?

I thought the original problem (from your first topic post) was that after performing a Restore, it would immediately tell you that you needed to do a Restore.

Or, do you see that message elsewhere...?

  • nniinnaa Level 1 Level 1 (0 points)

yes the problem is that i can't upload anything on my ipod because

after performing a Restore, it would immediately  needed to do a Restore.I do that but nothing, my ipod has 0 file

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM AS U SAID.

When you get to the Summary screen, what happens when you click on Music (next to Summary in the row of "tabs")?  On the Music tab, set up syncing for songs.  Set it to Sync Music and choose to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres.  As a test, select (checkmark) just one small playlist below, as your selection of songs.  Click Apply.

Do the songs on that playlist sync to the iPod?

If there is a problem when doing the above, please explain in detail when it happens and what occurs.

Try putting the iPod into Disk Mode

    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1363

Optionally, shut down the computer and disconnect all USB devices including hub.  Start up with only standard keyboard and mouse connected (if normally used).

Run iTunes.  Connect iPod to a direct USB port.  iTunes may prompt you about "recovery."  Try to do a Restore again.
