songs stop playing

I have a 160 GB iPod Classic. I have many songs that will not play 100% when I play them from my iPod.

I have tried to restore and reload my iPod but this does not fix the issue. Is there a program to run to check the files on the iPod to make sure they are correct or that there are not any bad locations? Some songs play almost all the way then stop. Others play 21 seconds then stop. This is really getting frustrating.
