30-pin Digital AV Adapter

I purchased the A1422 Digital AV adapter and as soon as I plug in the HDMI cable, the phone service goes from whatever it is to "No Service". Can anyone tell me why?

iPhone 4, iOS 6.1.3

I have the same problem with 4S. Today I discovered that signal dies if the hdmi cable is attached, if you connect A1422 by itself, phone operates normally. This bug should be fixed with an iOS release. These adapters are far too expensive for what they are, at least they should work properly

Still more problems with 4S in combination with A1422! Same adapter works perfectly with an iPod Touch 4 with minimal battery consumption. 4S gives full screen video for a few seconds then scales it down for some unknown reason. Same video requires much more battery (appx. twice) than iPod and will not even play fullscreen. No need to tell constant No Service bug. A1422 gets really warm with 4S.
