My "Messages" won't open

Can you tell me how to do this

Try force quitting all apps, then try just Messages.

If it still fails, you might have to try restoring it as a new device without using your backup or syncing. Then try Messages. If it works, then there is something corrupt on your iPod that's causing the problem and it is unfortunately also stored in the backup. If that's the case, you'll have to restore your backup, then save as much of your data as possible then have to restore it as a new iPod, without using your backup, and start over.

Try force closing it: from the home screen, double-tap the home button, locate Messages in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap ➖ to close it, tap the home button again. See if it works properly now.

I do not know how to do this and my phone every time I click on messages as to send a text it will not let me it goes stright back to home screen and I don't understand what you have to do

My phone isn't letting me go to my messages every time I try it takes me back to my home screen I tried everything nothing working.
