Ipad tv series purchased

Tv series purchased on itunes only some episodes will download not all. I cannot download through iTunes on computer as computer is too old for ipad. New laptop cannot be authorized as the old ones crashed and they are authorized. Is the only solution to de authorize all devices and mess with everyones computer itunes collections in family? Was buying a tv series a mistake as an ipad cannot manage an entire series of shows?
