How do I send in my broken iPhone for repair

My iPhones LCD screen is broken how do I send it to apple for repair? Will it just be the exact same iphone but repaired or do they replace it with a new one?

iPad (3rd gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 6.1.3

Contact Apple Support who will arrange to send you a shipping box and label to use. Do not send something without first arranging with them or they will just return it to you at your expense.

They will replace it with a refurbished one of the same model.

Do you have to call to get it arranged? I can't get back onto the support chat. How do i arrange this?
