icloud email on LG Optimus L9

Hi all,

I am having problems setting up icloud on my new LG Optimus L9 on T-Mobile USA. It's running a stock version Google Android ICS 4.0.4. The previous IMAP4 incoming/outgoing server settings I used on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus running Google Android 4.2.2 are no longer working. I have looked around online on different forums to look for a possible fix. I have a @me.com email address if it helps.

I have tried the following incoming and outgoing server settings.

imap.mail.me.com, SSL port 587, smtp.mail.me.com. TLS port 993

imap.mail.me.com, TLS port 143, smtp.mail.me.com. TLS port 993

imap.me.com, SSL port 587, smtp.me.com, TLS port 993

imap.me.com, TLS port 143, smtp.me.com, TLS port 993

p01-mail.me.com, SSL port 587, smpt.me.com TLS port 993 continuing through p09-mail.me.com, SSL port 587, smpt.mail.me.com TLS port 993

p01-mail.me.com, SSL port 587, smpt.me.com SSL port 465 continuing through p09-mail.me.com, SSL port 587, smpt.mail.me.com SSL port 465

p01.mail.me.com, SSL port 587, smpt.me.com TLS port 993 continuing through p09.mail.me.com, SSL port 587, smpt.mail.me.com TLS port 993

None of the above mentioned settings have worked. Based on what I've read so far, it could be device specific.

I am open to any helpful solutions from existing Android or LG Optimus L9 users.

Thank you.

Hi Eric,

I've already looked at that link. I had rechecked my port numbers as it seems I had them switched. The issue is still unresolved. It seems Apple has changed their IMAP settings so it's a matter of time before someone figures them out.

My previous workaround by placing p01 before the incoming and outgoing server name had worked. The version of Android I was previous using was a modified 4.2.2 rom for the Google Nexus run installed on my HTC HD2. The version I'm using now is stock 4.0.4
