Getting error message in Final Cut Pro X for frame 13142 when sharing

I am sharing a project to Master File and I get an error message: error occured when creating frame 13142. How can I find that frame?

Thanks. Thought I had a bad frame. But I keep getting the same error message when I share a master file - just at a later frame. I have deleted all the event render files. I have tried sharing with ProRes 422 and with H.264. And I just tried sharing a dvd but stopped at about 35% - cannot complete operation.

Some of the Frame-specific error messages turn out to be useful in trouble-shooting problem clips and some seem to be totally specious.

Try this. Create a new project. Copy the entire sequence from your problem project and paste into the new project.

Delete both your event render files and your project render files. With the range tool make a short selection of the new sequence. Export a Master File from the Share menu.

Post back with how you made out.

hi Sam I have been having the same issues since last week.

MacBook Air 1.8 GHz Intel Core i7

4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

OS X 10.8.3

FCP 10.0.8

G-Technology GRAID 6 TB - Thunderbolt

Project that is 6 x 10" chapters - 1080/24p - Pro Res

plugins:

Neat Video

Core Melt Lock and Load

Renders are not being "remembered" - closing and opening FCPX reveals orange render bars in timelines/edits/sequences/projects

I have moved my project/sequences into compound clips hoping that that might let me render.

No luck

Even hitting "render all" doesn't render all! - One clip will render and then fcpx will stop.

I get the same error as you on export.

For example error at frame 400 - i go to frame 400 and it is a clip with no effects on it!

Really lost, frustrated and way behind on the delivery!

Per your suggestion, I created a new project, copied and pasted the project, deleted both event and project render files and then I decided to try sharing the new project to dvd. I have a presentation Friday and need to get something I can use. It stopped at about 55% complete and then FCPX started quitting. Per another forum, I downloaded Pref Manager and deleted the FCPX preferences. Now I am trying to share to dvd again. Should I have disabled background rendering? Let you know if any luck.

Russ Sorry for the reply confusion. I am new to this. FCPX is quitting when I share to dvd. I did make a new project, copied and pasted the old project, deleted the event and project render files, bu then tried to share to dvd. That's when it quit. I downloaded Pref Man and deleted the FCPX pref. Tried to share to dvd again and it quit at 55%.

took a look in the Console app - looks like something is buggered:

wish that meant something to me that i could fix!

I had frame generation error last nigtht trying to make master file on a short 5 mintue simple video I built.

It said error was on frame 6797.

I seach for soluitons and nothing seem to help.

I tried copying project contents to new project and that still failed with frame error 6797.

I then reviewed that frame and it was the one time in project I used any special affects for movement of image, Ken Burns and Key frame transform affects on a freeze frame image.

I createa new third project copied contents in and remove the freeze frame image. added freeze frame image back into project and only did Ken Burnes affect without key frame movement.

i was then able to complete geneeation and share project.

So if you get a frame generation error check that frame and see what special affects your using. There maybe a bug in FInal Cut Pro X when you mix and match affects on one object in a project.

hope this helps someone... I was stuck for several hours on this last night.
