"Mail can't connect to the account"

I have set all of this up, but when I am finished I get a message saying that "Mail can't connect to the account" It askes me to enter my password, I eneter the password and the message pops up again. I have changed the password and tried deleting the accound and re-set up the accound multiple time but each time I get the same message.

I have set up this account on my phone and it works fine.

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
