Q: I've got a dual monitor port, G5 - one port can go to 2560x1600, but the other only displays 1280x800. How do I get two 2560 x 1600 outputs!? Thanks Jonathan

Hmmm, looks like you have a Mac Pro, not a PowerMac, likely an early 2009 model...

At the Apple Icon at top left>About this Mac.

Then click on More Info>Hardware and report this upto *but not including the Serial#*...

    Hardware Overview:

Machine Name: Power Mac G5 Quad

    Machine Model: PowerMac11,2

    CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (1.1)

    Number Of CPUs: 4

    CPU Speed: 2.5 GHz

L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB

    Memory: 10 GB

    Bus Speed: 1.25 GHz

    Boot ROM Version: 5.2.7f1

I think it has two DVI ports, one Single-link & one Dual-link...

    Analog (CRT) Resolution

NO ANALOG SUPPORT! (digital DVI displays only)

    Maximum DVI (LCD) Resolution

    2560 x 1600 @ 60hz (up to 30" Apple Cinema HD Display) on dual-link DVI port; 1920 x 1200 @ 60hz (up to 23" Apple Cinema HD Display) on single-link DVI port
