logic x fl studio

Hi, i use logic and i noticed a lot of musician friends of mine use fl studio and the software synths they have access to are some that i would really love to work with.. im not too satisfied with logics soft synths especially for more of a electronic/chillwave house or trill pop genre. so i'm just wondering if anyone knows of any audio units that have the same/similiar synths as fl studio?? or just any really cool AUs in general for more ambient hip hop electronic genre. thanks for reading!

* also ive used the native instrument free audio units/plugin synths which are really cool

MacBook Pro, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.2), Logic Pro 9, microKorg

Logic's included synths can be as usefull as you want them to be or useless if you don't take the time to learn them. Logic synths are used by countless industry professionals to create the music we listen and love today. Some these include RedOne who uses nothing but slock Logic plugins/synths to create his music. Here's the article: http://www.emusician.com/interviews/feature/redone_international_hitman/ However, if you don't like the sounds you're getting from Logic's synths you can always check out http://loopmasters.com for 3rd party EXS samples. For 3rd party AU instruments you could check out Omnisphere, one of the best softsynths around: http://www.spectrasonics.net/products/omnisphere.php Or Rob Papen: http://www.robpapen.com/ another industry favourite. Hope this helps.

Alexander (presumably his name) has given you some decent stuff to look at there - there is some great stuff out there - Omnisphere, Alchemy, Zebra, oh, I don't know, a few really good ones. The sounds that they produce do rely on certain basic principles, though - changing basic synthesizer controls to produce a certain sound, and then layering different ones together, using fx differently with different sounds and so on, so you can create good stuff from doing that in a similar way with the ES2 or a combination of different Logic synths.

I'm involved with lot of different kinds of music, but, when they're straying off into the EDM field, the basic synths like the ES M sound really good sometimes - its just so easy to choose a basic waveform and fiddle with the filter (automate it if you want) and then have an LFO making it go on and off quickly (amplitude modulation/tremelo) - stick it through a delay and its a classic sound, what else do you want, man ? 😁
