Pages - Can't Select Chart-Table-Graphs I imported?

I made some nice charts in Numbers...they look great. Bought them over to pages and resized. Great...I could even edit the tables and labels and colors on the graphs...perfect. I saved both the Numbers and Pages documents...came back to it 2 hours later and now no matter what I seem to do, I can't select the tables, graphs and charts I bought in to edit them or delete them or anything.

Someone please help! I'm sure its something simple I'm missing. Thanks.

What do you see when you click on the charts?

Any crosses on the corners which indicate they are locked?

No crosses...nothing faded out...I just can't select them no matter what I seem to do?

Did I break the link with Numbers? There must be a way I can select those objects even if as graphics to resize or delete them? I can't even select the text box I made inside one of the graphs...and that text box was created in Pages. What am I missing?

It is impossible to say what the issue is just by discussing it.

I sent both documents to you now. I'm very curious to what you come up with. I hope its something real simple I'm not doing...some setting somewhere, but I don't know. Anyways, THANK YOU very much for helping a stranger. I see you are from Australia. What a great ambassador for your country!

Got them.

The charts are selectable, even though you have the Sample over the top of them. That might be better off in the background.

Hold down the command key and drag into the area of the charts from outside the document edge and you can grab them.

There seems to be other stuff in the way:

Menu > View > Invisibles/Layout

and see if you can sort out what you have done.

Thanks Peter...you are right...I was able to go outside of the page and then drag back in and select them...for some reason, I don't know how, the objects did not stay selectable, so I went to the inspector and reset each one to the background and selectable and now all works well again.
