I recently downloaded an album where the songs are in AAC format and now am unable to burn a CD. Never had this problem before. I have changed the import settings to mp3 but am unable to create a new format (mp3) as they are greyed out. I tried selecting all or just one song and the option is still greyed out.

The option won't show for a track that is in the cloud. Are you sure it is downloaded?

I have the same problem, but the solution doesn't work for me because the option to show the music file in Windows Explorer doesn't appear. Show in Library or show in iTunes, but that's it. I wonder if there's something wrong with my iTunes...
This worked. Been searching for this solution for hours. Simple.

Right-click the track in your library, Show in Windows Explorer, right-click the file icon, Properties. Look at the file extension, and if it is anything other than .m4a, change it to .m4a.
