Deleting Photos
If I delete photos from my photostream will they also be deleted from the alblums I have transfered them to? Also vise versa.
Thanks,
iMac

No, they will remain on your device. When they are in Photo Stream, they are "in the cloud." When you download them to another album, a copy is stored locally.

If the photostream is in the cloud are the pictures in the photostream taking up memory on my computer then?
The part of the PhotoStream that you are seeing on your computer when you enable Photo Stream will take up storage on your computer. How much storage, will depend on when you enabled the Photo Stream.
All your Photo Stream photos your Mac is currently seeing in the PhotoStream, are stored in your User Library - in the folder
~/Library/Application Support/iLifeAssetManagement/assets

Bad phrasing on my part - when you delete the photo in Photo Stream, it will delete the cloud copy, it will not delete from your other albums.
it will delete the cloud copy, it will not delete from your other albums.
🙂 and to be even more precise - it will delete only the cloud copy on the device where you are deleting from the stream. All photos that already have been synced to other devices will remain in the local copies of the stream on those devices.
Yes, thanks for the clarification.
You deserved the Solved 🙂
Thanks for the kind words. 😀
IF I have ICloud turned on on my IPad, how can I download only selected albums?
