Macbook Pro keyboard malfunctioning?

The keyboard on my Macbook Pro 13" sometimes doesn't work properly? One minute I'm typing normally, and all the characters come up on the screen, and the next minute some keys don't work... they don't work for a few minutes or so, but then they're working fine again?

The keys are random, there aren't any specific keys that don't work each time this happens. And this only happens temporarily every few hours....

This isn't an external keyboard, it's the keyboard that is built into my Mac.

My Mac is brand new- it hasn't even been a month since I've gotten it. Everything is up to date...

Does this always happen on Macbook pros? Or should I take it back? It is still under warranty after all.

If someone could advise on what to do, it would be great 🙂

Thanks in advance!!

This never happens on any Mac.

You are covered by phone support for 90 days, by AppleCare (full repair of defects in materials or workmanship) for a year.

If you have an Apple store available, and can reproduce the problem, take it to them, as they are very good at problems with a physical component, such as this one.
