Mail is zipping my files and the receiver can't open it
Is there a way to stop mail from zipping files and from embedding attachments in emails?
Thanks!

Sorry I meant to say folder. I'm sending 10 jpg.s and 3 pdf.s in a folder, the overall size is only 2.8 mb. Because there are so many the folder seemed liked best way to go. When I send them outside the folder they are embedded in the body of the email, which is very cumbersome. Is there a solution to this? I would like to know that people receiving my images are able to open them.
Thank you!
You cannot e-mail a folder unless it is zipped (or archived in some other format). Most e-mail programs will not allow attaching a folder at all. Mail zips it for you. (If the recipient were using Mail, it would also unzip it for him.)
If you attach a JPEG or other pictures, Mail displays a preview of the image, but it is still just a simple attachment. What the recipient sees depends on his program, not on what Mail shows you. If recipients are having trouble extracting your attachments, it might be because their e-mail program only accepts attachments at the end of the message. In that case, try Edit > Attachments > Insert Attachments at End of Message.
Mail doesn't zip files.
How are you attaching them?
What type of files are they?
You are doing the right thing - zipping is safe way to send attaachments because it reduces the risk of file corruption.
The recepient just has to double click the .zip file. It expands automatically.
