I have a MacBook Pro, which I just upgraded to OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.3.
I have a 1TB Time Machine that I've been using for my Wi-Fi and back-ups, and it works great.
By Time Machine (which is software on the computer) you mean Gen3 TC.. from your equipment list??
So now you are adding a 2TB TC..
This is simple. But it would help if we knew the current configuration of the Gen3 TC.. and how you want to use the Gen4.. ie linked by ethernet and roaming network.

This is the best configuration.
Or extend wireless network.

Or ???

Yes, by Time Machine, I do mean that I have one 1TB TC (not sure if it's a Gen3, but I've had it for about 2 years.
Yes, I've now added a 2TB TC, just purchased a couple of days ago.
I can see by the diagram that you sent that I need to connect the 2nd TC from the LAN port on my 1TB TC to the WAN port of the 2TB TC. When I try this, it disconnects my Wi Fi connection.
Here's my current configuration:
Cable Modem > 1 TB Time Capsule Wi Fi Base Station > 2 TB Time Capsule
My goal is to use the 2 TB Time Capsule for Wireless Drive Sharing, see below:
Wireless drive sharing.
Time Capsule also works great as a wireless hard drive, whether you have a Mac or a PC. It sets up in a snap, giving you a networked hard drive you can use for storing and sharing all kinds of files. If you use iCloud Back to My Mac with OS X Lion or later, you can even access the files on the drive over the Internet.
Am I on the right track?

Yes.. you will be fine.
Setup the 2TB in isolation.. it is generally easier plugged directly into a computer with ethernet and nothing else.
Change the TC over to bridge mode.
Decide how wireless is going to work..
Particularly if the 2 TC are sitting right next to each other.. there is little point to having both running wireless.
It would be better to link them by ethernet but with the new 2TB very close to the clients that are going to use it. Then use the same wireless name and same security exactly as the 1TB TC. and exactly as the roaming wireless network document shows.
Follow the rest of that and it will be fine.

Apr 26, 2013 2:20 PM in response to LaPastenagueby nealsaverz,Thanks again.
Just to clarify, if I want to use this as my remote hard drive, is that possible?
So, I want to leave this TC at home and access the files via the internet..
For instance, if I had an excel document on the TC, I'd like to be at the office with my MacBook Pro, open MS Excel and open this file, work with it, save it.
Make sense?

My inclination would be to do a swap and use your new 2TB as the main router in that case and use the 1TB as the backup in bridge mode..
But it might work fine with the 2TB in bridge, since it has another TC to open ports with.
My motto is "have a go!!"
Set up the 2TB as bridge.. plug it into the 1TB.. and setup BTMM and iCloud for the TC following the apple instructions.
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3486
There is nothing there that says the TC will not work as bridge behind another router.. but some people have issues.. if it fails try using the 2TB as the main router.
Come back to me if you do not succeed as there are other ways and means.
