How do I delete purchases that I don't want to download? Purchased in error.

I want to delete downloads from the Apple store. I purchased a 10 episode set of a comedian who turned out to be vulgar and not to my taste.

Every time I fire up iTunes it starts to download and I just want to be rid of it.

The simplest way by far is to just allow the whole lot to download and then delete them. Unfortunately, you will have paid for them before the download commenced. Whether the Apple store will refund you money is not a question that can be answered here.
