Bad print to new Epson after OS X update

After doing the last update from 10.8.3 we have been unable to get good prints to our new Epson printers (7890 and 9890). Has anyone heard of this or better still knows how to correcr this? I have tried resetting the print system and reinstalling the driver, I contacted Epson support but they were not useful.

If the drivers are current, sometimes you just need to delete the printers and then re-add them.

If still a problem, you might try resetting the printing system. Right-click on the printer list and select Reset Printing System.

You'll then have to re-add the printers. However, I don't think this would effect the output, just connectivity issues.

I am having the same problem with my Epson 7900 since the latest upgrade of OS X

My printing is exactly as shown by Wanderingnoah.

I followed the advise of PhotoHoward1 and uninstalled the printer, downloaded the latest driver from Epson, corrected the permissions etc. It worked just once from Photoshop. The second and third print came up with the image shown by our friend Wanderingnoah.

I do not know what to do.

The only temporary solution is to use the network and to use the driver for the Epson 7900 from a computer without the latest upgrade and the Epson dirver installed.

it is truly bothersome. I just can not believe that only a handfull of people have complained about this problem.

I also called Epson and did not get any solutions or suggestions. Nice for a $5000 Printer.

Any additional suggestions?

The problem is strange after trying a second image after the repair I went back to re-print the first image, the one that was printed shortly after the reinstallation of the driver and the printer in System Preferences.
The image printed OK. I tried new images from Photoshop and did not succeed.

I would appreciate further advice or suggestions

Thank you
