Apr 25, 2013 4:17 AM in response to R.soamesby Barney-15E,If the drivers are current, sometimes you just need to delete the printers and then re-add them.
If still a problem, you might try resetting the printing system. Right-click on the printer list and select Reset Printing System.
You'll then have to re-add the printers. However, I don't think this would effect the output, just connectivity issues.

Apr 25, 2013 4:36 AM in response to R.soamesby sig,Have you power cycled the printers? Also try unplugging them from the mains. Are the print cartridges good? If all else fails you've got to press Epson. Have you called? Emailed?

Gary Fong: Hi, my name is Gary Fong. How may I assist you today?
File attachment upload has started.
The file Photo+on+29-4-13+at+1.08+PM.jpg (17.03KB) was received.
howard tucker: I am using a 7890 on a mac osx 10.8. today for the first time with roll paper the printer printed the images banded. but not like head banding. Like duplicating the image banding. Looking through a prism. This does not happen with cut sheet or on my windows 7 machine. Only Mac. I also saw on the apple discussion forum that I am not the only one with this issue.
Gary Fong: yes, this was caused by the latest Apple updaye
Gary Fong: 1. Click Apple...System Preferences...Print & Fax/Scan
2. Select your printer and delete it (click -)
3. Download the latest printer driver from
http://support.epson.com
4. Open Mac HD/Library/Printers and trash the Epson folder*
5. Open Mac HD...Applications...Utility
6. Double-Click Disk Utility
7. Select the Mac HD and perform: Repair Disk Permissions
8. Install the downloaded driver normally
9. Click Apple...System Preferences...Print & Fax/Scan
10. Add a printer (Click +)
11. Select your printer and click Add
12. Try printing
*this will uninstall ALL Epson printers
howard tucker: will..Thanks -
May 1, 2013 3:57 PM in response to photohoward1by baileycooper,I am having exactly the same problem with printing to Epson 7890 from Lightroom and Photoshop. No problem printing from other software, or to other Epson printers. Will try this suggestion and report back.

May 3, 2013 8:07 PM in response to photohoward1by Ataisa,I am having the same problem with my Epson 7900 since the latest upgrade of OS X
My printing is exactly as shown by Wanderingnoah.
I followed the advise of PhotoHoward1 and uninstalled the printer, downloaded the latest driver from Epson, corrected the permissions etc. It worked just once from Photoshop. The second and third print came up with the image shown by our friend Wanderingnoah.
I do not know what to do.
The only temporary solution is to use the network and to use the driver for the Epson 7900 from a computer without the latest upgrade and the Epson dirver installed.
it is truly bothersome. I just can not believe that only a handfull of people have complained about this problem.I also called Epson and did not get any solutions or suggestions. Nice for a $5000 Printer.
Any additional suggestions?
The problem is strange after trying a second image after the repair I went back to re-print the first image, the one that was printed shortly after the reinstallation of the driver and the printer in System Preferences.
The image printed OK. I tried new images from Photoshop and did not succeed.I would appreciate further advice or suggestions
Thank you
