Apr 25, 2013 6:25 AM in response to SDGFLby Ralph Landry1,That would indicate bad memory modules...where did you buy them and are they the same specs as your iMac as seen in the apple menu, About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Memory?
You can be sure of the memory, that it will work, when you purchase from Mac specialsists such as OWC and Crucial.

Apr 25, 2013 6:52 AM in response to SDGFLby Ralph Landry1,Many years ago I bought ram from Kingston and it worked fine. For several years, though I have been buying exclusively from OWC or Crucial and never had a problem.
The Higher level Kingston memory, it appears that is what you have, is pretty reliable. The Kingston Value Ram is a major source of problems for Mac users. I would talk to Kingston, or who you bought from, and explain that the memory isn't working and you either want replacements or money back. If the iMac won't start with the memory installed it is pretty certain there are problems with one or both modules.
