You may find 'cheap' chargers on e-bay, bit too often that is like throwing money away. I have found the Apple MBP chargers quite durable. What seems to be the problem with your first one?

After 6 Mac portables in the span of about 20 years, I've only had one power brick fail. And it turned out to be that the cause of the failure was the MBP it plugged into, cause it went titsup a week after I bought a replacement Apple brick. Dead logic board, cost of replacement was such that buying my current MBP was a better idea. And the replacement brick survives to this day, powering the new Mac at the office while the one that came with it stays at home and saves me from having to lug them about.

In short, after two dead bricks, I would suggest having the rest of the hardware thoroughly checked to avoid nasty surprises.
