I just updated Motion 5 I was working on a project with PS, after the update could not import PS CS6 files into Motion, get an error saying the codec is not supported. Im using the same file I was using 10 minutes before the update. What happened? Anybody having this issue?

In Photoshop preferences > File Handling, there should be an option to:
Maximize PSD and PSB File Compatibility (or similar)
it should be set to Always (or to Ask if you don't mind being bothered with it every time you save.)
Did that, I have that set to ask, does not fix the problem, still get error "The following file could not be imported because the codec is not suported" What did apple forget this time in this new update. Nothing changed in what I was working on I have already done 5 others like this before the update today. I'm using my MBP 17" I'm going to try my iMAC's and see if the problem is there as well. I noticed that when I updated Motion I had it open and all the PSD layers went dark, thought I did something wrong. Re-installed Motion still the same thing.
Were all your layers flattened? (Adjustment layers and Layer styles don't carry over, but you can create Smart Objects of the layers with styles and/or [clipped] adjustments to keep them intact for your photoshop project.)
Found the problem, don't know why but in PS if you have a mask in the layers that is linked to an image it will not translate over to Motion gives me the error. Without the mask no problem with the import to motion. Took me awhile to find this but I got it.
