In Safari, whenever I try to print anything at Google Maps, the print dialog box freezes. All that I can do is Save to PDF, which doesn't lay out the page as well as does the Google Maps print function. This problem occurs whether I use the Safari print button or the link on the Google Maps page.
Google Maps otherwise works fine in Safari. I don't have this problem with any other web page in Safari. In Firefox, Google Maps works fine in all respects.
CJDelli, just for your info, I have no problem printing Google maps with Safari 2.0.3, Mac OS X 10.4.6, J2SE 5.0 Release 4 (PPC), Epson CX4600 all-in-one. Your problem could be your printer or your Java or Javascript.
I have a similar problem sometimes with just plain printing anything from Safari. All I can do is either save to pdf or "esc" out of the printer dialog. It is a bit pesky. Restarting Safari usually solves this. If Safari weren't so well integrated with keychain and just so great I'd be using Firefox.
Powerbook G4 15" Mac OS X (10.4.6) HP 2550L, Netgear WGPS606 & WPN824
While I have not tried printing from Google maps, what I frequently do with maps anyway is do a picture(screen snapshot) of them. To get the whole screen press Shift/Command/3 To just get a snapshot of a portion of the screen press Shift/Command/4. This may not be at all what you are looking for, but maybe it will do until someone comes up with the answer you need.
Cheers
