May 8, 2013 12:43 PM in response to bman80sby greigor78,I am also experiencing the same error with Slinplayer and ATV. I have the New Ipad with Retina display, an Iphone 4, and the newest ATV purchased last Sunday on 5/5/2013. I have tried rebooting it, adjusting all the display and audio settings, as well as restoring the ATV software but still no luck. Next I will try to downgrade ATV to previous version to see if that works. Both Ipad and Iphone are giving me the same error message with Slingplayer. The other streaming apps are working fine.

May 22, 2013 9:49 PM in response to bman80sby Mikeh62,Have you tried to mirror your iPad with Apple TV first, and then start the slingplayer? That works for me. When I first tried, I had slingplayer running and then tried to mirror my iPad to Apple TV. That resulted in getting the same error mentioned before - " an error occurred when loading content. Try again". Now that I am mirroring the iPad to Apple TV first and then starting the slingplayer I have no problems. Try it.

May 29, 2013 7:39 PM in response to Mikeh62by bman80s,Thank you.... this did work and am now able to view through mirroring. What is interesting is that previously I did not need to enable mirroring in advance. I really appreciate the suggestion!

Jul 1, 2013 9:32 PM in response to jpadderby bman80s,Double Click the Home Button (the one on the bottom with the square (my apologies if I am getting to basic).... not the On button. This will bring up the apps that are currently running. Then swipe from left to right and this will bring up the media prompts. Press the AirPlay button and select the Apple TV. When you do so it will prompt you to Mirror. Do so and you will immediately see your iPad mirrored on your TV. Then navigate to Slingplayer and you are all set.... Hope this helps!

Jul 1, 2013 9:42 PM in response to bman80sby jpadder,Sorry, bad description, that is how I was getting to the Media Prompts, but the Airplay button does not show. It only appears in iPhoto, with a single photo displayed, or Videos. How do I get it to appear in the Media Prompts I wonder?

Jul 2, 2013 7:46 PM in response to jpadderby bman80s,Okay... that is the exact same set up I have...
When I double click the Home button:
... and slide the resulting group of icons to the right... I get this display which I have expanded to show you how it appears on my iPad.As you can see, I also have an Apple Airport Express that is listed.
If you do not have the Airplay button... then check the settings on your Apple TV... to insure that Airplay is ON.
Go to the Apple TV and Select Settings then General then About. I am running Apple TV Software 5.3 (6105)... if this is not your version, you may want to update your software under the "Update Software" menu item.
Assuming that you are running 5.3, Select Settings>Airplay and insure Airplay is ON. I do not have a password.
Hope this helps.... if it does not the only thing I can think of is that maybe these is an issue with your wireless network router or setup. Assuming however that it is set up with defaults for the most part, it should be okay.
Hope this helps!

Jul 3, 2013 8:18 AM in response to bman80sby jpadder,Thanks so much for all the effort you have put on to help me. It is very frustrating when things are not working as they should. The solution finally on this problem: reboot the iPad. Gee, I thought only a PC had that problem!
So now mirroring happily.
Thanks again.
John
