Logic now rescans ALL plugins after restart..... Grrr!

Every time I restart my Mac, Logic rescans ALL plugins.

I've totally uninstalled Logic, ensuring all associated files were removed from preferences, and then resinstalled it. The problem persists.

I am at a loss as to how to stop it from doing this. With about 300 or so plugins it takes forever to rescan every time.

Most of the time I just sleep the Mac when not in use avoiding the rescan, but I feel there must be a solution to this.

I've followed several other suggestions via other posts on this forum but none seem to have helped.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Have you tried deleting the Audio unit cache?

Quit Logic.

Go to the User Library:Caches and move com.apple.audiounits.cache to the Desktop.

Restart Logic (this will cause the AU Manager to re-validate all the plugs, but it should only do this once).

Quit Logic, and then test to see if the problem is fixed.

I have solved the problem!

The app called "Cache Out X" had the box checked which said "Clean Cache at login" - I have unchecked the box and hey presto! I've been struggling with his for months. And even more annoying I don't even use that app "Cache Out" - most frustrating that it was causing so much grief. But hey, often it's a simple solution to these strange little problems. Hope this solution can lend some help to anyone else in the future.
