How do i sync my phone calendar to my macbook??

I am trying to bring all of my iphone calender appointments onto my macbook icalender. My iphone is what I use the most to book in appointments so I want them to sync onto my computer & not visa versa. How do I do this?? Also, how do I do this without loosing my iphone calender appointments??
