Mail opens but hangs immediately on launch.
Started immediately following restart after installing these updates:
Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 4.05
Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 15
HP Printer Drivers v.2.14 for OS X
and upgrading from Intego VirusBarrier X6 to VirusBarrier v10.7.3
Turning VirusBarrier off makes no difference.

Try holding the Shift key immediately after launching Mail, to see if you can get it to load that way. This will prevent the program from loading its last message, which if corrupt may be causing the program to hang each time it is opened.
