I buy a iphone from one of my friend, but when i want to unlock, itunes said

what should i do for this. im scary for can be this iphone was hacked?? answel me fasters you can pliz

There are 2 primary reasons this happens (other than the server being temporarily offline, which usually does not last longer than a few minutes).


A) You don't have a SIM card in the phone. You MUST have a SIM in the phone to activate it.

B) The phone was hacked to unlock it. It will not activate unless you get the original carrier to authorize unlocking it.
