for some reason, call waiting has disapperared. I have gone to Setting-->Phone and a call waiting submenu is not even present. This is Verizon LTE. Any suggestions here?

Any change after powering your iPhone off and on?
I have a verizon 4s and it does not have a call waiting button - never has.
not sure if iphone 5 is the same way - just telling my experience with the 4s.
