It looks like a very common problem but I need a solution. I have an iPhone 4 GSM and some times the sound bar dissapear and the only sound I can hear is the ring tone. Non the messages tone, sound on videos, music, keyboard clicks or the block/unblock sounds are available. I been told that the porblem is caused by an error on a file named: com.apple.iapd.plist is there a way to fix or repair this file? I will appreciate any help you can provide.

Clean iPhone charging port with clean dry toothbrush. See if better. If still problem, clean again with small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol. If still problem, and if there is Warranty or AppleCare take or send to Apple for resolution.

Hi I have the same problem I ve tried cleannig charging port but it doesnt work!! the only way pending to try is erasing the file com.apple.iapd.plist, but theres a new problem I dont know how to access that file!!

Hi pepe 1974. You are right, there's many many people with this problem. I already tried the cleaning action suggested by Brad 805 but it didn't work.
